The 'Refund amount' input field on the WooCommerce Edit Order page is not editable. This prevents administrators from manually entering a specific refund amount when processing a refund through the admin interface.

The issue occurs in a clean environment with only the default Storefront theme and WooCommerce active, indicating it is a core WooCommerce bug. It has been reproduced across multiple browsers and operating systems, confirming it is not an isolated client-side issue.

This bug directly impacts store administrators' ability to process partial refunds efficiently, forcing them to use alternative methods and disrupting standard refund workflows.

How to Replicate:

  1. Navigate to the WooCommerce test site.
  2. Log in with administrator credentials.
  3. Go to the store and purchase any product.
  4. Navigate to WooCommerce > Orders and edit the newly created order.
  5. Click the 'Refund' button.
  6. Attempt to edit the 'Refund amount' field.
  7. Observe that the field cannot be edited.
